Hi All,
I’ve spent the entire day down that the hospital with Court. This morning when I got there she was extremely restless and uncomfortable, but she had a good reason. Something was wrong with her trach and she had been struggling since the night before. They had to put a new one in today. She finally went to sleep around 11:30 and spent most of the day resting. I don’t know if we had mentioned that she had been moved to a new room in the ICU a few days ago. Well apparently she can’t stand this new room. She thinks it’s haunted or something. She wanted Mom to call the fire department yesterday and today she told me that she was in the wrong room, wrong bed and why was she in there. Apparently last night her feeding tube had come undone and her food went all over her bed and hair. We got her hair washed today and she felt soooooooooo much better. She was going down for a CT scan when I was leaving and they had given her some sedation meds before she was headed out. I’ve seen some really good improvements with her strength, breathing on the vent (down to a 13) and her alertness. Baby steps are more like toddlers. Yay! Keep up the good work Court! You have so many pulling for you.

So sorry to hear that it wasn’t the greatest day Court. As for the haunting, that would freak me out. I think that my house is haunted but it’s something that I live with everyday and I’m used to it. LOL
I hope that tomorrow is a better day!

I miss you! I’m sorry I haven’t been down there in a couple days, work has me going crazy! We have a luau tonight with all the residents…. I wish you could be here to keep me from losing my mind. I will be by to see you really soon, I promise! I’m really glad you are doing better now, maybe you would yell at me with your hands now that you feel a little more like yourself. LOL. If u do need to yell at someone though, I’m your girl! You are such an inspiration court, I admire you and have done so since the first day I met you some upteen years ago! You are a fighter and I know you and your faith are strong enough together to make it through anything! I love you court and I mean it with all my heart! xoxoxo
